Big Sky

I've been finding myself drawn to photographing farms lately. My trip down to Wooster today for a visit with a college friend was the perfect opportunity. I took a side road about a mile to find a spot where I could pull off the road and park and walk around a bit. I really need to become more aggressive. It seems like I am always seeing things from the car that I think would make great pictures, but I'm too...something...to pull over and get out my camera. This is the first time I've done that.

I totally know what you mean. I'm always kicking myself for not pulling over. I have a few pictures from a car ride to the country a few week ago still on my camera which I need to pull off and look at. Come and visit me and we can go out to the Texas country side and photograph farms together!

I am so glad you stopped and took this picture. This is wonderful! It almost looks like a drawing. Love it.

This one is elegant in its simplicity. The farmhouse, although in the background, draws the viewer to itself- demanding, ever so quietly, the attention in the scene. I think it is that it is ion the side and that the white is contrasted with the sky and field. The clouds are a highlight but do not distract. Well done! It reminds me ever so sweetly of a Wyeth painting.
