Friday, April 26 2013: Chautauqua

Our good friends Greg and Hilary arranged for us to use Greg's parents condo in Chautauqua, New York for a weekend in April. This was exactly what Mark, Isaac and I needed. A chance to be in a different place, time away from people and responsibilities, time to be together just the three of us. It was a wonderful weekend, and a fun opportunity for pictures.

There is nothing good about this photo, except I got to have a much needed hot bath that evening.

Sunday, April 21 Mark, Isaac and I went to Lakeview Cemetery to walk around and be together. I took lots of pictures. It was somewhat therapeutic for me.

Saturday, April 20 2013: Bath

Bath
Saturday April 20 was the day we had to say goodbye to Ava Rose. We had the morning with her and Isaac helped give her a bath. I knew posting this picture would be difficult (it's part of the reason it's taken me so long to catch up).

I can't say more right now. We do like this picture though.

Friday, April 19 2013: Sick Little Guy

Sick Little Guy

Friday April 19 was a very difficult day. Isaac had been throwing up the whole day before, and later that evening we found out the horrible news that we would be losing our little girl. I'm able to write that now without much emotion, but that's not because I'm "over it," it's tiredness and numbness. If you follow this blog you might have followed our ordeal on our secret Facebook group or in the real world. This was our last day together as a family of four, and Isaac was just miserable. I think part of it was getting over his stomach bug, and part was sadness over losing his little sister (he is still having a hard time understanding exactly what has happened).

Catching Up

It's been a difficult month, and I haven't posted in three weeks. But I have taken pictures almost every day, and I plan to catch up on posting them by sharing two or three days of photos each day till I'm back on schedule (don't want to overwhelm with all of them at once).

Sorry for getting out of the habit--I'll try to stay on track for a while.
