Mark's camera has a macro feature which allows you to take extreme close-ups. It makes interesting pictures out of practically anything, because it forces you to look at details you might otherwise miss. This is a tiny new pine cone on the pine tree in our back yard.

Another morning picture. This time I liked the lines and the colors, as well as the bright early morning sun.

Morning Ritual

Washing dishes first thing in the morning is a motivating thing for me. It's a satisfying, clearly defined task that puts me in the right frame of mind to be productive for the rest of the day.
For this picture, I liked the way the morning light shined through and reflected off the drying dishes.
